Question:  Hi,  I have purchased a Zapper (AutoZap 5 Zappicator combo) a few years ago.  The zapper doesn’t work any more.  I am not able to turn it on.  Of course I tried changing the batteries, using different type of batteries but unfortunately the zapper unit doesn’t give any sign of life any more.  Can you please assist?  Thanks.  M

Answer:  No worries, we will get you zapping again.  Our zappers are quite rugged and there’s little that can go wrong with them.

The first thing to do is to do the RESET.  Simply remove the batteries, and allow your Zapper to sit empty for 15 minutes.  After that waiting period, insert fresh batteries, close the battery door and press the start button.  You should start up as usual.

Please see our FAQ page at www.BestZapper.com/faq for any other questions you have, or to see more troubleshooting techniques.

Please see this video here to replace your zapper’s batteries and fix the problem – particularly the part about removing the batteries for 10 second to reset the internal microprocessor.  If that doesn’t work then please let me know and we’ll take the next steps.

Cheers!  The Best Zapper team
