Question: I am not able to turn off the Beep on my AutoZap zapper. Please help.
Answer: The AutoZap 5 beep is a convenience most of the time. However, when one wants to sleep through the end of a cycle, it is helpful to silence the beep. The top label gives the instruction for turning off the beep sound, which is a 2-Button sequence (Press Button A once, then Button B).
Timing is essential for successfully turning it off. If you are in any zapping mode, you must turn off your Zapper first in order to silence the Beep.
Begin from the OFF position. Press the 2-button sequence first (Button A once then Button B) and then go for your desired zapping mode.
For example: If you want to reach the Food Zappicate Mode, you first must press the 2-Button sequence and then go for the Food Zappicate mode (Press Button A 2 times).
Another example: If you want to reach Continuous Zapping Mode, you first press the 2-Button sequence, and then go for the Continuous 1-hour Mode (Press Button A 3 times).
It is easier than you think, and do not rush. Be steady and walk through the steps and you will be successful at silencing the beep. We hope this helps,
