Question:  The gloves never worked well conductivity wise. The wires are still good and the light is still working.  JJ

Answer: How old are your gloves?

We are told that the conductive accessories with elastic and snap connectors really have a life of a few months.  However, with care and. not pulling on. the wire, we can extend that life for a longer time.

Thankfully, the SenseAlert light on the AutoZap 5 Zapper is the true conductivity test.  If the light is out, there is an issue – either the connection at the Zapper itself is not seated down well enough, there is a break in the wire leading to the gloves, or the snaps have pulled away from the embedded silver in the wires, cutting off the conductivity.

There is one last thing to know.  Everyone has a level of moisture in their body, and some people’s bodies are drier than others.  You may need to spray a small spray of water on the palms of the gloves.  You could also breathe into the gloves and the moisture in your breath may be enough to show a brighter SenseAlert light.

I believe your problem is the moisture issue, hearing that the conductive gloves have given you problems from the start.  Please ensure you have enough moisture to make a good contact while Zapping.

I hope this helps,
